About Grow.Give.Gorham.

Our Organization

Gorham Schools Food Initiative is a non-profit organization focused on fighting hunger in Gorham schools. We believe that every student deserves access to nutritious food. Our organization was founded around the Gorham Middle School garden, which serves as a hands-on, interdisciplinary, service-based learning project for students. We also provide support through our BackPack Program, which helps Gorham students who are suffering from the effects of hunger.

Our Mission

Our mission at Gorham Schools Food Initiative is to ensure that no student in Gorham goes hungry. We strive to provide access to healthy and nutritious food through our garden and BackPack Program. Our goal is to promote education and awareness about food insecurity in our community and to empower students to make a difference in the lives of their peers.
